More for Maternal Health: SimpliFed Raises Over $10 Million in Series A Funding

SimpliFed, the leading virtual Maternal Health Operating System for pregnancy and postpartum, recently raised over $10 million in a series A funding round. This funding round will support the growth of SimpliFed’s technology-enabled maternal health platform. More specifically, this will accelerate the scaling of SimpliFed’s core lactation offering and virtual OB services. Allowing their health plans and care provider partners to reach and care for moms and babies from pregnancy through the vital post-partum period, creating a first-of-its-kind virtual perinatal care provider.

The platform connects families with International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants and other maternal health providers utilizing secure telehealth visits, providing feeding support, maternal mental health screenings, and care navigation from pregnancy through the first and second years postpartum. In addition to this, SimpliFed’s new virtual OB model partners with health systems and clinics to care for low-risk patients, making care more convenient for families while freeing up valuable in-clinic time for patients who require more complex care.

In such an underserved market, SimpliFed, with this funding, will expand its proprietary maternal health operating system, and activate contracted partnerships with health systems, OBGYN clinics, and other strategic relationships. SimpliFed also plans to deepen its partnerships using electronic medical record systems interoperability standards and application programming interfaces that allow for seamless collaboration with care providers through secure capture of patient information, performing automated eligibility verification, and easy self-scheduling options for patients seeking care.

As SimpliFed continues to focus on patient-centric care, this funding will bolster the technology available to patients and providers, ensuring that it continues to fill the large gap in maternal healthcare. The company is already on track to serve 5% of all U.S. births in 2026, showcasing the company’s continued drive to provide access to perinatal care. Looking ahead, SimpliFed is positioned to continue to revolutionize maternal healthcare, and support growing families around the U.S.
