Grow-NY Winners Share Insights on eCornell Webinar

Rev members, Juan Guzman, founder of Capro-X, and Hailey Scofield and Nathan Oakes, founders of Combplex, shared their experiences applying, preparing, competing—and ultimately, securing funding at the inaugural Grow-NY Food and Ag Summit in a recent eCornell Keynotes webinar, “FROM AN IDEA TO THRIVING STARTUP: An Insider’s Perspective on Business Competitions, Mentors, Marketing and Funding.”

Entrepreneurship dreams often leave business owners on a quest for funding. The inaugural Grow-NY business competition attracted nearly 200 innovative, high-growth food and agriculture startups from across the globe to compete for $3 million dollars in prizes. Seventeen finalists stepped up to the challenge and pitched business plans in front of a live audience— seven walked away as winners.

The next Grow-NY business competition will take place on November 17-18, 2020 in Syracuse, New York.
