Cornell Student Startup: Maidbot Joins Rev

Introducing our newest Rev member, Maidbot, a robotics hospitality company poised to create the world’s first robot floor cleaner designed to meet the specific needs of hotels and other commercial industries.

Micah Green, CEO and founder, is currently working towards his Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.

Over this last summer, Maidbot participated in the STSA Hardware Accelerator, hosted here at Rev in our Prototyping Lab. The team of Cornell students started with Micah’s ideas and created a working proof of concept. Those continuing with Maidbot past the summer include Jason Guss, Reuben Rappaport and Gabriel Gonzalez, all three Cornell students. Jason is working towards his PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Reuben is working towards his Bachelor’s of Science at the College of Engineering, and Gabriel is working towards his Bachelor in Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

The team has grown to include CTO, David Moroniti; VP of Business Operations, Alex Levy; Lead Systems Integrator, Steven Whitehead; and Control Systems Design Engineer, Praveen Palanisamy.

With Rev, Maidbot has continued access to experienced entrepreneurship mentors and a physical space to work in the interim as well as the tools available in Rev’s Prototyping Lab before they expand to a space of their own someday.

With such a talented team of engineers, hotels ready to partner and beta test, and a focused vision moving forward, we suspect great things are on the horizon for Maidbot.
