Office Manager
The Office Manager is responsible for two sister companies operating out of our Cortland, NY office. Main Street Farms in an organic vegetable farm and CSA that runs year-round growing and selling vegetables throughout New York State. New York Hemp Oil is a startup company that grows, processes, and sells CBD oil through our brand Head + Heal. Each company is evolving and expanding and we are looking to add an office manager to our staff to help streamline our operations.
Must be energetic and dynamic professional who doesn’t mind wearing multiple hats, who can stay organized and focused in a sometimes chaotic environment. Experience in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision is a must. The office manager must be well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.
Responsibilities:
- Point person for receiving and properly filing all mail and documents entering office;
- Work with management to organize and schedule meetings and appointments
- Perform HR tasks, and maintain office policies as necessary
- Organize office operations and procedures
- Manage relationships with vendors and work closely with bookkeeping admin ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time
- Responsible for managing office services by ensuring office operations and procedures are organized, correspondences are controlled, filing systems are designed, supply requisitions are reviewed and approved and that clerical functions are properly assigned and monitored
- Perform review and analysis of special projects as needed and keep the management properly informed
- Organize orientation of new staff members
- Ensure filing systems are maintained and current
- Analyze and monitor internal processes
- Purchase and maintain office supplies; conducting executive errands
Requirements:
- Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience
- Positive Attitude
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficient in MS Office and Google Docs
- Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures
- Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures
- Knowledge of business and management principles

Content Creator

Head + Heal is looking for a freelance content creator for company to help engage our audience. In this role, you’ll get to create content capturing our seed-to-sale hemp operation.
Job Description
Content Creator responsibilities include producing marketing copy to advertise our products, and writing weekly blog posts about industry-related topics. Please share samples of your work (portfolio or links to published articles) along with your application.

Responsibilities
- Create concept, write, and publish weekly blog posts
- Support the marketing and sales teams by planning and writing email campaigns (bonus points if you can come up with clever subject lines)
- Self-taught learner willing to read and keep up-to-date on CBD and hemp industry
- Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics
- Adopt the brand voice and write copy that speaks on behalf of the brand
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Content Creator, Copywriter or similar role
- Experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business
- Portfolio of published articles
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English
- An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces
- Time-management skills
- Familiarity with SEO
- Bachelors in Marketing, English, Journalism or relevant field preferred
