Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, responsible marketing intern to join our growing organization. In this position, youwill be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily marketing routines and procedures. Responsibilities willinclude working directly with the CEO and Director of Business Development to enhance our marketing activitiesusing analytics, as well as hands on implementation and evolution of our Social Media Strategies. From a technical perspective, we are working with open source frameworks, Google Analytics and hosting our solutions on AWS. Domain guidance will be provided as we seek bright individuals with excellent problem-solvingskills and an acumen for learning new technologies versus specific skills in a particular technology stack. This is agreat opportunity for a motivated student to accomplish a lot and absorb tremendous lessons and wisdom fromveterans in the industry with decades of experience, including serial startups and exits.You will focus on our organization’s marketing efforts which include:

  • Working directly with the EMPEQ team to create and execute marketing strategy
  • Design digital campaigns and identification of tracking elements across mediums as well as conversionand metrics reporting dashboards
  • Assess new Social Media and application ideas
  • Research competitor offerings
  • Collecting quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
  • Utilizing EMPEQ’s access to vast online libraries to accomplish various market research, performingmarket analysis and research on competition and customer segments
  • Supporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

 

Job Brief

  • EMPEQ is looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our marketing department andprovide creative ideas to help achieve our You will have administrative duties indeveloping and implementing marketing strategies.
  • As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing and advertising team in all stages ofmarketing Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketingchannels, including Social Media.
  • This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should beprepared to enter any fast-paced work

 

Responsibilities

  • Design digital campaigns and identification of tracking elements across mediums as well asconversion and metrics reporting dashboards
  • Assess new Social Media and application ideas
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
  • Perform market analysis and research on competition
  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web)
  • Manage market research projects
  • Prepare promotional presentations
  • Help distribute marketing materials
  • Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
  • Help organize marketing events
  • Others as needed

 

Requirements

  • Ability to self-direct and willingness to be accountable to others
  • Ability to be open, honest, and provide and receive constructive feedback
  • Strong desire to learn from, and teach, others
  • Strong work ethic and ability to “get stuff done”
  • Solid understanding of different marketing techniques, both traditional and non- traditional (suchas new digital techniques and guerilla)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Marketing, SEO/SEM, and Social Media
  • Working knowledge of MS Office 365, and a keen understanding of the principles of data analysis, campaign
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics,and Google Adwords)
  • Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
  • Current enrollment in a marketing BS or Masters degree, OR a similar degree with a marketingconcentration
  • Need to be a resident of New York State or be enrolled in a New York State higher education program
  • Private access to a phone, high-speed internet, and a computer

Internship with innovative, fast moving startup with regular access to leadership team for direction and guidance.We are looking for a promising student that is seeking a career in software development, machine learning, AI,analytics and architecture. Responsibilities will include working directly with the CTO to enhance our marketingactivities and machine learning algorithms using analytics, as well as hands on implementation and evolution ofour web properties. From a technical perspective, we are working with open source frameworks, GoogleAnalytics and hosting our solutions on AWS. Domain guidance will be provided as we seek bright individuals withexcellent problem-solving skills and an acumen for learning new technologies versus specific skills in a particulartechnology stack. This is a great opportunity for a motivated student to accomplish a lot and absorb tremendous lessons and wisdom from veterans in the industry with decades of experience, including serial startups and exits.

Responsibilities 

  • Design digital campaigns and identification of tracking elements across mediums as well as conversionand metrics reporting dashboards
  • Collaborate with other, senior developers and architects to implement required functionality tosupport our campaigns
  • Work closely with the CTO on strategy and User Experience brainstorming
  • Assess new application ideas
  • Research competitor offerings

Preferred Skills

  • Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Engineering or Mathematics major
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented software development and best practices (PHP, Jack, C, C++, etc) and keen understanding of the principles of data analysis
  • Ability to work independently
