Sales Representative – Animal Health Equipment – Dairy Industry

Job Summary:

We are seeking Regional Sales Key Account located in Central NY area and covering North-East region of the United States. As a self-driven and motivated individual with a passion for developing relationships with dairy producers and delivering profitable solutions, you will play a crucial role in driving sales in your region.

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the dairy industry, specifically the needs of producers in the areas of animal health, welfare and reproduction.  With a proven record of sales performance, the Sales Agent will be responsible for achieving annual sales targets by generating new business while maintaining relationships with existing customers.

Reporting directly to the CEO, your responsibilities include:
  • Create and achieve the annual sales budget for the region
  • Generate high-quality leads through calls and face-to-face meetings
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the dairy industry
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the dairy industry, including dairy producers, veterinarians, industry associations, and distributors
  • Provide product demonstrations and training to milk producers on the use and benefits of our innovative cow health and reproduction equipment
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that arise
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to management
  • Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback on customer needs and preferences
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote the company and its products
  • Continually seek out new opportunities and ideas to build a stronger brand image within the region
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the dairy industry or related field
  • Strong understanding of dairy animal health, genetics, welfare or repro in the dairy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills verbally and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and CRM HubSpot platform
  • Well-versed in Dairy Comp herd management platform
  • Bachelor’s degree in animal science, agricultural business, or a related field
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Traveling up to 30% (Hybrid working is preferred)
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Self-starter with a passion for introducing innovative technology to the dairy industry
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proven record of sales in the dairy industry
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Background in veterinary or nutrition is a plus
