Multimedia Assistant

Cornell’s Center for Regional Economic Advancement (CREA) is looking for a multimedia assistant to help us in our mission to empower entrepreneurs and help grow businesses in the Southern Tier of NY.

Position Summary and Responsibilities:

 

  • Capture photographs including but not limited to:
    • Headshots
    • Staged Group Photos (large and small groups)
    • Product Photos
    • Candid photos
  • Capture video including but not limited to:
    • Interviews – Single and group
    • Press events
    • Course instruction
    • Networking Events
    • Highlight Reel
  • Edit and produce high-res photographs
  • Edit and produce a variety of short and long videos that may include multiple shots, sound, background music, and animations

Qualifications

 

  • Student majoring in cinema and photography, marketing, communications, visual arts, or a related field
  • Must have professional attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and execution
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment where change is common; capable of setting priorities under pressure
  • Must have an ability to work and collaborate with others under little supervision while demonstrating a positive, purpose-oriented work ethic
  • Must have experience working with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects

Graphic/Website Design Assistant

Love promoting and attending networking events?

 

Cornell’s Center for Regional Economic Advancement (CREA), based out of Rev: Ithaca StartupWorks,  is looking for a graphic/website design assistant  to help us in our mission to empower entrepreneurs and help grow businesses in the Southern Tier of NY.

 

Position Summary and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in graphic design efforts including creating content for social media, the web, and print
  • Update and manage web pages on WordPress
  • Design compelling slide decks
  • Assistant member companies and program participants with logo design
  • Create promotional materials for member companies including business cards, brochures, one-sheets, and posters

  • Must have professional attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and execution
  • Knowledge and experience working with Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Familiarity designing visually appealing slide decks in powerpoint
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment where change is common; capable of setting priorities under pressure
  • Must have an ability to work and collaborate with others under little supervision while demonstrating a positive, purpose-oriented work ethic
  • Preference given to those who have previous work experience and are familiar with Slack, Airtable, MailChimp, and WordPress

Writing and Social Media Assistant

Position Summary and Responsibilities:

 

  • Create content for blog posts, social media, and newsletters
  • Write and edit blog posts
  • Assist in laying out weekly and monthly newsletters
  • Assist with content calendar for social media
