DESCRIPTION:Take your product idea to the next level – Apply by March 31! \nAre you an entrepreneur ready to take your product idea to the next level? Rev: Ithaca Startup Works invites you to take a deep dive into prototyping this summer! Join this info session to learn more about the program\, meet program leadership\, and get all your questions answered. \nOver 10 weeks\, Rev’s Prototyping Hardware Accelerator guides product teams through a process to determine if their ideas are commercially desirable\, technologically viable\, and economically feasible. Upon completion of the program\, participants are positioned to recruit team members\, bring on partners\, initiate work with contract manufacturers\, and pitch to investors. \nThe program offers three unique tracks with tailored content and instruction: \n\nOpen Track: Open to innovators in any field since 2014\, Rev’s classic track provides foundational training across industries. Participants will be eligible to receive a maximum stipend of $2\,000 for prototype development.\nAgTech Track: Agriculture technology startups are immersed in specialized training and connected to experts and potential partners within the agriculture industry. Participants will be eligible to receive a maximum stipend of $2\,000 for prototype development.\nClimateTech Track: Climate tech startups are placed in a like-minded cohort\, matched with clean energy and clean tech mentors\, and learn from guest speakers in the field. Participants will be eligible to receive a maximum stipend of $10\,000 for prototype development.\n\nApplications are now being accepted for the Open\, AgTech\, and ClimateTech tracks of the Summer 2023 Prototyping Hardware Accelerator! The accelerator is held in person at Rev: Ithaca Startup Works in Ithaca\, New York beginning on Wednesday\, May 31\, 2023. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Register for this free and virtual information session led by Rev: Ithaca Startup Works! \nThe Manufacturing Hardware Accelerator is a cohort-based program led by Rev: Ithaca Startup Works that supports hardware startups that are ready to bring their prototypes into production. The program is funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration and offered in partnership with Cornell Engineering. \nOver the course of the 52-week program\, entrepreneurs are provided with valuable entrepreneurial and design for manufacturing programming\, one-on-one mentorship\, and networking opportunities—including introductions to manufacturers and investors. The cohort will meet virtually twice a month and in-person in Ithaca\, NY approximately three times during the program for immersive experiences and manufacturing tours. \nAfter a successful inaugural cohort\, we’re excited to continue offering an AgTech track for agriculture technology startups that are ready to manufacture innovations in areas such as farming operations\, animal husbandry\, and food processing. Participants in the AgTech track will receive specialized training and mentorship and will be connected to experts and potential partners in the region’s robust agrifood ecosystem. \nApplication for Cohort 4\, which will run from October 2023 to September 2024\, open on June 14 and applicants will be selected on a rolling basis. \nELIGIBILITY: The Manufacturing Hardware Accelerator is designed for startups based anywhere in the U.S. that have already developed a fully functional prototype and identified a viable customer market. Hardware and physical product startups with innovations geared toward businesses or consumers that include electronics\, plastics\, enclosures\, mechanisms\, and or machines are encouraged to apply. The cohort will meet virtually twice a month and in-person in Ithaca\, NY approximately three times during the program for immersive experiences and manufacturing tours. \nAfter a successful inaugural cohort\, we’re excited to continue offering an AgTech track for agriculture technology startups that are ready to manufacture innovations in areas such as farming operations\, animal husbandry\, and food processing. Participants in the AgTech track will receive specialized training and mentorship and will be connected to experts and potential partners in the region’s robust agrifood ecosystem. \nApplication for Cohort 4\, which will run from October 2023 to September 2024\, open on June 14 and applicants will be selected on a rolling basis. \nELIGIBILITY: The Manufacturing Hardware Accelerator is designed for startups based anywhere in the U.S. that have already developed a fully functional prototype and identified a viable customer market. Hardware and physical product startups with innovations geared toward businesses or consumers that include electronics\, plastics\, enclosures\, mechanisms\, and or machines are encouraged to apply.
